Operations Assistant

Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Job Location: Post Falls, ID

Starting Pay Range: $16-18/hr, DOE

Hours: 15-25 hours per week

Schedule: Flexible, between the hours of 7am-4pm. Mondays are required, no Wednesdays or weekends.

 

Are you looking for a roll where you can have a part in a bit of everything that it takes to run a small and creative business? Want to be in an environment where you can learn to complete back-end business tasks, where your ideas matter, and you get to work with a wonderful and fun team?

 

In this roll, you will be responsible for assisting business operations through tasks like back-end website upkeep/maintenance, assisting with social media, proof-reading, assisting with shipping, cleanliness and organization, schedule creation/management, sewing project testing, etc. 

 

You will have the opportunity to learn to be a part of many exciting projects and decisions, while being an integral part of business continuity and completing many rotating tasks on a monthly schedule. (If you enjoy doing the same thing for work each day, this position will not be a good fit for you.)

 

You’ll need to have one or more years experience with computer software (or a strong aptitude for learning new computer systems) such as design software, customer relationship management software, website building software, etc. You will also need to have the ability to keep track of many different task types--both on the computer and off.

 

Many of the software programs we use and tasks we complete are unique or hightly-specialized. We expect to train the right person for the position, so not much specialized experience is necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Control cleanliness and organization.
  • Track production timelines and schedules.
  • Edit and proof-read sewing pattern files in Inkscape software.
  • Create product packaging infographics using Canva templates.
  • Build new product listings in the backend of our website software.
  • Assist with back-end website edits and updates.
  • Help pick and pack orders for shipping.
  • Perform back-end data entry/customer account management tasks in support of customer care.
  • Sew new projects for testing/editing. (Very minimal sewing experience needed.)
  • Aid in product/kit assembly.
  • Manage social media posts.
  • Any other actions deemed reasonable and necessary by management.

 

Hiring Qualifications:

  • Must have 1+ years experience with semi-complex computer software.
  • Must have the ability to switch between tasks, both on the computer and off.
  • Must have great spelling and grammar skills.
  • Must be confident with technology and learning new software like Adobe, Outlook, Canva, InkScape.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Must understand basic math, working in yards and inches.
  • 1+ years working with Canva is preferred but not required.
  • 1+ years experience with a drag-and-drop website editor, such as Shopify, is preferred but not required.
  • Sewing knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
