Our Mission:
We strive to make sewing feel easily achievable in everyday life by making sewing projects that are easy to start and satisfying to finish.
The sewing industry is addicted to complexity--we are here to shift focus to the win of project finish.
The Workplace:
The video below is a quick view behind the scenes into our facility, our work process, and the types of things that we make here in Northern Idaho.
How we like to work:
- Don’t be afraid to thoughtfully challenge processes, thoughts, ideas
- A crap-ton to accomplish means that we all take the need to get a crap-ton done seriously.
- Once you learn a process, try to find a better/quicker/easier way to do it.
- Please voice your ideas, thoughts, etc. Everyone being aware and in a collaborative mindset helps the team as a whole.
- The relationship between Sew What Box/the team and each person here is a fair one–sometimes a team member will have something come up and we are able to be flexible…sometimes something will go wrong at Sew What Box and we hope for the same type of care and flexibility.
- We all care what happens here and take ownership of outcomes.
- Mistakes are on–just learn from each mistake so that we don’t make the same mistake twice.
Company Info:
Sew What Box is a small business that is currently based out of a Post Falls, ID, garage condo located near the intersection of Prairie Ave. and Highway 53 in the Post Falls/Hauser area. We are goal-oriented and like to be super productive—but we also have fun at work and enjoy schedule flexibility.
Plus, we really believe that we are bringing joy to sewists and sparking creativity with every item that we make.
