Job Location: Post Falls, ID
Reports to: General Manager
Starting Pay Range: $16-18/hr, DOE
Schedule: 15-25 hours per week, flexible shifts on weekdays between 7am and 6pm
Want to be an integral part of a small, growing company in the sewing and crafting industry? Want to be in a place where your ideas matter and you can be a part of a great and fun team?
In this role, you will be responsible for printing and folding the cotton fabrics used in our sewing project kits, work with the rest of our team to assemble sewing kits and monthly subscription boxes in a timely manner, and help assemble any other items or products needed.
You will have the opportunity to be a part of a small and positive team, while making giant impacts on our company goal of making at-home sewing projects that are easy to start and satisfying to finish.
You’ll need at least 6 months of experience in some sort of assembly or repetitive task position, the ability to keep pace with tight deadlines, and preferably the ability to quickly learn computer software.
This role operates in a fast-paced production environment with defined hourly output targets. Candidates should be comfortable maintaining a steady, high pace throughout their shift.
Much of the work is repetitive and requires maintaining a consistent speed while meeting quality standards.
Why this Role Matters:
Our goal is to make sewing feel achievable in real life by creating projects that are easy to start and rewarding to finish. The work you do directly affects our customers’ experience—accurately printed fabrics, neatly folded kits, and well-organized materials make the difference between a frustrating project and a successful one.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in producing work that helps our customers feel confident and excited to sew.
Responsibilities:
- Switch between machine operation, assembly tasks, and support work throughout the day while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
- Operate our fabric printers and heat press.
- Manage printer software, print file set-up, and print image organization.
- Fold fabric bundles with speed and accuracy while consistently meeting established production quotas.
- Maintain quality standards by noticing and removing flawed material.
- Assemble items into bags and/or packaging.
- Ensure that machines are cleaned according to cleaning schedule.
- Help keep track of product inventory levels and organization.
- Any other actions deemed reasonable and necessary by management.
Hiring Requirements:
- Must have 6+ months experience in assembly or a repetitive task position.
- Must be able to maintain a steady, fast pace in a production or quota-based environment.
- Must be able to multi-task and shift between different tasks and priorities throughout the day.
- Must be able to follow and make adjustments to hit timelines and production schedules.
- Must have the ability to learn computer software.
- Must understand basic math, working in yards and inches.
- Must be able to distinguish between colors.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Experience working with printers or large machines is preferred but not required.
- Sewing knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
This position does work with fabrics and sewing items, but it is a manufacturing-type environment with machinery, loud noises, dust, and odors.
