Production Team Member

Every month, thousands of sewists across the country open a Sew What Box and get excited to start their next project. Behind every box is a small production team in Post Falls that designs, prints, laser cuts, assembles, and packages premium sewing kits with an emphasis on craftsmanship and quality.
We're looking for someone to join this amazing team who enjoys staying busy, takes pride in doing things well, and likes seeing the results of their work at the end of each day.
No experience with our specific equipment is required. We hire for attitude, dependability, and willingness to learn—we'll teach you the rest.
What you'll do:
As part of our production team, you'll be trained in one or more of these areas based on your interests and strengths. No two weeks look exactly alike. Everyone on our team is willing to jump in where needed to keep production on schedule.
- Assembly and fulfillment
- Assemble sewing kits and subscription boxes.
- Fold fabric and prepare printed sewing patterns.
- Package finished products.
- Help prepare monthly shipments.
- Digital textile production
- Operate industrial textile printers.
- Prepare materials for printing.
- Perform quality checks on printed fabric.
- Monitor equipment and keep production moving smoothly.
- Fabric cutting
- Operate industrial laser cutting equipment.
- Prepare materials and jobs for cutting.
- Inspect finished parts for quality.
- Learn routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting.

- Aren't interested in learning new skills or equipment.
Hiring requirements:
- No experience with our equipment is expected. We train every employee from the ground up.
- Must be able to maintain a steady/fast pace in a production or quota-based environment.
- Must be able to follow and make adjustments to hit timelines and production schedules.
- Must be able to distinguish between colors.
- Must be able to stand, sit, and/or walk for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Sewing knowledge and experience is preferred but not required.
Job type: Part-time, set schedule. No nights or weekends.15-32 hours per week.
Schedule: Hours are set, week-to-week, and can be Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Fridays between the hours of 8am-4pm. Mondays are required. No weekends.
Environment: This is a manufacturing environment--it is clean and organized, but can get disorganized. This position does work with fabrics and sewing items, but it is a manufacturing-type environment with machinery, loud noises, dust, and odors.
Work location: In person. Post Falls near the intersection of Prairie and Beck. Located in a gated complex with shared bathroom about 200 yards walk from our units.
Pay: Starting wage is $16.00-$18.00/hour. We believe great employees become more valuable over time. As you learn additional equipment, take on more responsibility, and become an important part of our team, there are opportunities for increased responsibility and compensation.
